Why local families keep coming back
You're not dropping off a pet. You're trusting someone with family.
That trust is earned one calm, careful appointment at a time — and it's the reason most of our dogs have been coming here for years.
Patient, Gentle Handling
Nothing is forced and nobody is rushed. Dogs are talked to, given breaks, and allowed to settle — so grooming day stops being something they dread.
21+ Years of Experience
Two decades of reading dog body language means Christina spots discomfort early and adjusts. You get an honest, experienced eye on your dog's coat and skin every visit.
A Calm, Spotless Space
Quiet tools, clean tables, fresh towels, and no barking chaos in the background. The environment does half the work of keeping a nervous dog relaxed.
Your Neighborhood Groomer
Families from Atascadero, Templeton, Santa Margarita, Creston, and Paso Robles come back because they see the same familiar face every single time.
Meet Christina
Twenty-one years of steady hands and happy tails
Hi, I'm Christina. I've been grooming and handling dogs for more than twenty-one years, and I still get a little excited every time a new pup walks through the door. Some come in wiggling. Some come in shaking. Both are completely okay with me.
I keep my shop small on purpose. Your dog isn't one of twenty in a noisy kennel waiting their turn — they get my hands, my attention, and as much time as they need to settle. If a dog needs a break, they get a break. If they need to sniff every corner before we start, we sniff every corner.
What I love most is the moment a nervous dog decides I'm safe. It might take one visit or it might take four, and either is fine. Building that trust is the job — the haircut is just what happens after.
I'll always tell you honestly what I'm seeing, whether that's a hot spot, an ear that looks irritated, or a coat that would be easier on your dog with shorter intervals between visits. No upselling, no guesswork.
My promise is simple: your dog leaves feeling better than when they came in, and you leave knowing exactly who was taking care of them.

Exactly what happens, start to finish
Handing your dog to someone new is a big deal, and it's normal to feel uneasy about it. Here is the entire appointment, step by step, so there are no surprises for you or your pup.
- 01
Arrival
Park right out front and walk straight in. No crowded lobby, no barking wall of kennels — just a quiet room, a friendly hello, and somewhere calm to set your dog down.
- 02
Greeting
Christina lets your dog come to her, sniff around, and decide she's okay. Then you'll talk through the style you want and anything that worries you — nails, matting, a bad past experience.
- 03
Comfort Assessment
A head-to-tail check of coat, skin, ears, and nails, plus an honest read on how your dog handles being handled. The plan fits your dog that day — not the other way around.
- 04
Gentle Grooming
Bath, dry, and styling with quiet tools and plenty of breaks. Nervous dogs get extra time, senior dogs get extra support, and nothing continues if your dog says they've had enough.

Common questions
The things owners really want to ask
Still wondering about something specific to your dog? Call or text — a real person picks up, not a booking bot.
Call Christina · (805) 423-2733Not at all — anxious dogs are some of our favorites. They get a slower pace, quiet tools, extra breaks, and as many short introduction visits as they need. Nothing is forced, and if your dog says they've had enough for the day, we stop and pick it up next time.
Most full grooms take about two to three hours depending on your dog's size, coat condition, and how comfortable they are with the process. Nail trims are usually just a few minutes, so you can wait right there.
The easiest way is to call (805) 423-2733 during business hours. Christina answers personally, asks a few questions about your dog, and finds a time that works for you.
Of course. Text (805) 423-2733 with your dog's breed, size, and what they need, and you'll hear back as soon as Christina is between dogs.
Puppy visits are kept short, gentle, and positive on purpose — the goal is for your puppy to decide grooming is fine, not to get a perfect haircut. Bring them in once they're fully vaccinated and we'll build from there.
Yes for $10 nail trims — no appointment needed, just stop by during open hours. Full grooms are by appointment so every dog gets undivided one-on-one time.
Almost never. Senior grooming is done slowly and supportively, with rest breaks, gentle handling around stiff joints, and comfort chosen over a perfect show cut every single time.
Yes — big dogs are welcome. Twenty-one years of handling experience means large breeds are managed calmly and safely, with no wrestling and no shortcuts.
Most dogs do well every four to eight weeks. Curly and double coats usually need shorter intervals. Christina will tell you honestly what schedule keeps your dog's coat comfortable and mat-free.
Please keep your dog current on rabies and core vaccinations, and bring records to a first visit if you have them. It keeps every dog in the shop safe.
